Monitoring progress of the import

Once the import has started, the name of the file to be uploaded will appear at the top of the list of files in your workspace.
To the right of the file name, you will notice some symbols. While the file is uploading or being processed by MINT, you will see the 'working' icon . Large files can take time to process and so if your dataset is a large one, you may prefer to go for a coffee or lunch while MINT completes its work. Small files process quickly.
After a file has been imported, you will see either a green tick next to the file name to indicate that the import was successful. A red cross indicates that there was a problem during the upload.
Note: if your import failed, you can get feedback by clicking on the file name and then Show Log in the dataset options pane. The log shows which processes have run, when they completed and if they failed.
Uploads can fail if the servers time out or go down during the upload. Try again to see if the process works on the second attempt, or contact the CARARE support desk for advice on how to proceed.
Once your dataset has uploaded successfully, you can move on to the next step - defining items.
